Hi, I’m Claire.

I set up my coaching practice after some personal and professional life events changed my priorities.

I realised I needed to take the career advice I had been dishing out for several years - ‘figure out a way to do more of the stuff that you love, in the precious waking hours that you have, inside and outside of work’.

I have a psychology background alongside 10 years as a sales leader in Google and 10 years in global and local ad agencies under my belt.

Mentoring and career coaching have always been my favourite parts of each job - be it my team members or leaders, start-ups or women in tech.

So I qualified as an EMCC Executive & Career Coach and set up my practice to help enable busy professionals to achieve a fulfilling career and get some life back into their work-life balance.

I now work 1:1 and in groups with clients to effectively tackle career & life decisions. I draw on my training and experience in front-line business, career coaching, leadership, mentoring & people management.

I practise a strengths-based approach, rooted in your values, life stage and priorities. My coaching style is relaxed, approachable and non-judgemental. We'll focus on accountability and I'll coach you through meaningful behaviour & mindset shifts that lead to sustainable change.

CHANGING LOCATION

I’ve lived and worked in Germany, the US, Indonesia & New Zealand. I understand the highs and lows of relocation

COMPANY CULTURE

I’ve experienced thriving work environments with supportive colleagues and management, company values that align with mine and the joy of doing meaningful work with the right level of challenge.

CAREER CROSSROADS

I’ve had a senior manager position in a fast-paced, high-expectation corporate environment. I’ve held Board of Management positions and I’ve left ‘good jobs’ 5 times, with no role yet to go to.

I know what it’s like to be at a career crossroads.

I’ve been lucky and not so lucky with these moves - twice it was for travel and adventure; once as I was pretty miserable; one role restructure and one close shave with burnout.

I intimately understand job hunting, interviewing and establishing yourself in a new role. I’ve lived the discomfort of not fitting a company culture and the emotional rollercoaster of redundancy.

And I’ve bounced back.

JUGGLING FAMILY

I’ve two active boys under 6 and our little household of three free spirits love bikes, the seaside, Pokemon cards, blackberry picking and adventuring.

I know the juggling act of working parents and the mixed emotions of returning to work after maternity leave.

If you’re at a career crossroads, I’d love to chat and see if we could work together.

Let me help guide you onto a more satisfying path.

Missing the Boat

- Naomi Shihab Nye

It is not so much that the boat passed
and you failed to notice it.
It is more like the boat stopping
directly outside your bedroom window,
the captain blowing the signal-horn,
the band playing a rousing march.

The boat shouted, waving bright flags,
its silver hull blinding in the sunlight.

But you had this idea you were going by train.

You kept checking the time-table,
digging for tracks.

And the boat got tired of you,
so tired it pulled up the anchor
and raised the ramp.

The boat bobbed into the distance,
shrinking like a toy—
at which point you probably realized
you had always loved the sea.
